We were all honored and excited to support Ronald McDonald House (RMHC), which provides a temporary “home away from home” for pediatric cancer patients and their families. This organization does great work in supporting families managing and struggling with treating children with cancer. In addition to providing housing for a nominal fee of $35 per night, the organization coordinates emotional and physical services, psychological care, wellness programs, tutors, music, art, transportation, and activities for siblings, and provides camaraderie for parents struggling with their child’s cancer diagnosis.
Hearing about the challenges these families face was heart wrenching, yet at the same time upbeat. Kudos to all the great people and companies that support this worthy cause.
The event was held at the Hudson National Golf Club in Croton-on-Hudson, New York. This was Digital Realty’s seventh year participating in and sponsoring this event, which is widely attended by leading IT and infrastructure companies. In addition to being a worthwhile cause, it’s also a fun networking event.
